The Hybrid HDD-SSD is a special two ports SATA III PCI-e host controller that can be configured to operate in either hybrid mode or standard mode.

In HYBRID mode, the controller enhances the performance of any ordinary SATA hard drive by the faster speed of a SSD (Solid State Drive).

In STANDARD mode, this controller becomes a standard two port SATA III PCI-e controller that supports maximum throughput up to 6 Gbps. The two drives can be configured in a RAID 0 or RAID 1 group or as two individual drives.
